Our journey began with two friends on a jungle safari. The sight of majestic tigers and the urgency of tiger conservation stirred something within them. Yet, it was the humble bee, often overlooked that truly captured their attention. They are crucial for pollinating 80% of the world's food sources, yet the most neglected.

Fueled by a desire to make a difference, these friends set out on a transformative quest to understand the world of bees. From engaging with experts and conservationists to meeting beekeepers and government officials, their journey took them from Mumbai's bustling streets to the serene Himalayan peaks. Amidst urbanization, chemical farming, and deforestation, they discovered the resilient efforts of local communities there, preserving indigenous bees through traditional practices.

This experience ignited a spark. They harkened back to Ayurvedic wisdom, recognizing the healing potential of bee products in skincare – an ancient knowledge often forgotten in modern times. The realization dawned that these natural ingredients could not only revolutionize skincare but also support bee conservation and organic farming.

With Ancient wisdom, conservation, and sustainability as their guiding lights, our founders Manthan Vidiya & Dhwani Kapadia embarked on a mission, creating India's first bee-based skincare brand, APIRA.
